By Sloan's own admission, keyboardist Gregory Macdonald may be best known as "that un-lit bearded character in the back singing all the hard parts," but he's now stepping out solo with a new effort as Cola Wars.
Macdonald's three-track, self-titled effort under the moniker arrives today through Sloan's Murderecords, and you can hear the entire thing below.
Written, performed, recorded, produced and mixed entirely by Macdonald, Cola Wars provides "a wormhole to the planetarium within" in its near 40-minute exploration of "minimalist instrumental analog modular synth ambient spacerock landscape."
Besides the full album, you can check out a very They Live-styled album trailer below.
Cola Wars is also available for purchase on vinyl.
