Detroit hip-hop collective Slum Village have already released some J Dilla-produced songs from YES!, and with the album due to drop on June 16, they've now shared the entire thing.
Dilla was a member of Slum Village early in his career, and the late beat-maker is credited as producer on all but three of these 12 tracks.
Given that much of YES! utilizes posthumous production from a beat-maker who passed away almost a decade ago, it's no surprise that the album has an old-school vibe with classic-sounding hip-hop rhythms and arrangements that incorporate vintage jazz and soul. Meanwhile, Slum Village trade verses with guests like De La Soul, Black Milk, BJ the Chicago Kid and more.
