Travis Dopp, guitarist for long-running Michigan post-hardcore group Small Brown Bike, has been diagnosed with stage IV colon cancer. After being diagnosed late last month, he is currently preparing for chemotherapy.
A GoFundMe has been set up to support Dopp, Brooklyn Vegan points out. The cost of his treatment is expected to cost upwards of $85,000 USD, and Dopp will document his journey as he fights cancer on his Instagram page.
Small Brown Bike initially ran from 1996 to 2004 before reuniting in 2009. They released albums on labels like No Idea, Lookout! and Winnipeg's own Smallman Records.
