Having signed with Arts & Crafts earlier this year, Toronto-based indie duo Snowblink are preparing to release their previously promised sophomore album. Entitled Inner Classics, the record is scheduled to drop on September 11.
These nine new songs represent Snowblink frontwoman Daniela Gesundheit's first material since moving to Canada from the band's original home base of San Francisco. According to a press release, these tunes were "written in a cottage on Lake Erie in winter, an attic studio in Toronto in the early spring, and a guest house in Malibu, California in the summer while listening to a live feed of whales singing off the coast of Maui."
Inner Classics gets its name from an ancient text about traditional Chinese medicine. It was recorded in Toronto, Montreal and Los Angeles, and produced by Chris Stringer (Timber Timbre, Ohbijou) and the band themselves.
