Onetime Olenka and the Autumn Lovers cellist Paterson Hodgson is pressing ahead with her band So Young, and the London, ON-based group have rolled out a song and a video from their upcoming album Try Me.
The video is for "Haterz," a mellow rock ballad with an undercurrent of gritty aggression provided by the crunchy guitar tone. In it, Hodgson promises to "moonwalk all over your soul." The accompanying video is a simple one consisting of some vintage black and white footage culled from a public domain archive.
As for other song, it's called "He Had It Coming," and it pairs bright pop melodies with feminist-minded lyrics about domestic violence.
Try Me will be out on January 13. It's available to pre-order on Bandcamp on CD or cassette. You can also check out the group's upcoming tour stops below.
Tour dates:
12/18 London, ON - Winter Spectacular Festival
01/23 London, ON - Rum Runners (album release show)
01/24 Guelph, ON - Senti-Lodge
01/30 Hamilton, ON - The Baltimore House
01/31 St. Catharines, ON - Detour Music Hall
