Society Parasites

Societys Parasites are a punk rock band. They have a punk rock name, play at a punk rock tempo, have punk rock distortion and a punk rock vocalist. And there isn’t a thing wrong with any of it. The breakneck pace is set from the very start of the record and doesn’t let up for a second. The singer drips anger, despair and desperation, while the bass (most notably on "American Nightmare”), with its trebly tone and mach-ten speed, moves along in a very Rancid-esque way. Face-melting solos are in high supply but never sound forced or showy. Societys Parasites haven’t reinvented the wheel by any means, but it’s still a pretty sweet ride.
