Solange recently brought her live show to Toronto, but in case you couldn't get into the sold-out concert — or if, well, you live elsewhere in Canada — the singer brought her jaw-dropping True track "Don't Let Me Down" to Late Show with David Letterman last night (February 27) for all to see.
The six-piece band positively dazzled as they ran through the airy, late-night funk number, with Solange tossing animated dance steps between her love-exalting lines. The steady, bass-popping groove closed out the song beneath a four-part harmony between Solange, two backup singers and guitarist/producer Dev Hynes.
Letterman loved the song so much that he proposed a joint tour where he'd open up with some jokes, adding: "you guys come out and just kill, blow the roof off the dump. Backstage it'll be horseplay!" Those fantasy tour dates can't come soon enough.
