This year marks the 35th anniversary of Soundgarden's formation, and to celebrate the milestone, the Seattle group have announced plans to give five of their studio albums the reissue treatment.
The band will repress their A&M Records catalogue to coloured wax, with one title arriving each month from April through August. All five albums will see release through A&M/UMe.
Included in the reissue series are 1989's Louder Than Love, 1991's Badmotorfinger, 1994's Superunknown, 1996's Down on the Upside and 2012's King Animal. All five albums are available for pre-order here, complete with an exclusive lithograph designed and signed by the band's longtime creative director Josh Graham.
The Superunknown reissue will be the first of the reissues to arrive, hitting shelves April 5. Coincidentally, today marks 20 years since that record's release.

Earlier this year, it was revealed that a documentary on the band's late frontman Chris Cornell was in the works.
