Spencer Burton

"Diamond"

Once involved in Attack in Black and the solo project Grey Kingdom, Spencer Burton is now going simply by his own name. While there's no firm due date just yet, Burton has an album on the way this fall via Dine Alone, and to let us know what's in store, he has shared a new track called "Diamond."

The song is a graceful, country-flecked acoustic number featuring folksy strums, rustically tasteful instrumentation and smoothly bittersweet croons. Stream and/or download it below.

The album was produced by Daniel Romano, and according to Burton, it was made while crossing Canada and collecting stories he's set to tell on the as-yet-untitled record. "I rode motorcycles, long and lonely, fell in with the wrong people, drank everything I could to pass the time and put the pain away," he said in a statement.

But for now, check out "Diamond" below, where you'll also find Burton's upcoming CMW schedule in Toronto.

Tour dates:

05/08 Toronto, ON - Ben Sherman (CMW, 2 p.m.)
05/08 Toronto, ON - Dakota Tavern (CMW, 10 p.m.)
