Spencer Burton

"Silent Night"

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Dec 17, 2014

Spencer Burton broke away from his former role in Attack in Black and ditched his Grey Kingdom alias this year, embracing his own name and releasing Don't Let the World See Your Love.

Now, the folky Canadian singer is offering up a festive treat in the form of his own rendition of "Silent Night." Burton infuses the classic carol with a healthy dose of country twang, but manages to keep it mellow enough to combat any holiday-related stress.

You can head over to his website to download the track for free, along with his original album cut "Blackbird's Song." In a message about the musical offerings, Burton said: "May these songs bring peace unto your home, during a time of unwanted family drop ins."

Once the holiday rush dies down a bit, Burton will be hitting the road for a handful of Canadian tour dates that will start at home and take the singer-songwriter out West. The upcoming dates are listed below.
