When it comes to new merch designs, Spiritbox are opening Pandora's box — literally. The Victoria heavy metal outfit have just lifted the lid on a true-to-life visualization of their namesake.
As seen in new promotional videos, the limited-edition functional Spiritbox emits a spooky glow and some eerie noises. With the top of the box complete with a faux tealight, it's the perfect accessory to sit next to your deck of tarot cards.
The unveiling of the physical Spiritbox — which is available for pre-order — softens the blow for anyone waiting for the band's graphic novel, Eternal Blue: A Spiritbox Novel, which was originally due to arrive in June. As per Z2 Comics' website, its various bundles are now expected in November.
The book will follow main character Eva, "a popular painter on the verge of unbelievable acclaim and success," according to Z2. "Her inability to reconcile the public perception of who she is, versus her actual self, allows the Spiritbox to transport her to a surreal world, where she finds herself trapped in the realm where all our false shadows become real and dangerous."
With all of the new expansions to the Spiritbox Cinematic Universe, it's safe to assume Courtney LaPlante didn't quit her job like Beyoncé told her to.
Take a look at the actual Spiritbox below.
