With a teaser video, a song snippet and news of their signing to new label Loma Vista, it was only a matter of time before Texas indie rock royalty Spoon gave us some concrete info about their next LP. For now, though, they've posted the cryptic photo seen above to Facebook and Twitter.
The photo simply reads: "Spoon, R.I.P., June 10." While it's fairly likely that it refers to the new album in some way, it's unclear whether R.I.P. is the album title, a song name, or otherwise.
Until June 10, we'll be staring agonizingly into the blackness of the image for a clue and listening to the 35 seconds of "They Want My Soul" below.
