Spoon Team Up with Deerhunter for Canada/U.S. Tour

Austin-based indie rock heroes Spoon must really love their fans. Not only did they announce that they'll be releasing their long-anticipated Transference record a week early on January 19, but they've also decided to stream the whole thing on NPR here. To top it all off, they've announced a hefty North American tour, with some amazing support acts.

Following an appearance at SXSW on March 17, the band will launch the first leg of their tour, which features Deerhunter along for the entire ride. And if that wasn't enough opening-slot goodness, Royal Oak, the Strange Boys, and Micachu and the Shapes will also be playing select dates.

As for Canadian stops, Spoon, Deerhunter and co. will play Toronto on March 29 and Vancouver on April 11.
