Spotify Has Launched Its Own Concert Ticket Website

No redirection to Ticketmaster needed

If being able to buy concert tickets on TikTok wasn't enough, now you can source them straight from Spotify. The streaming giant has launched Spotify Tickets, giving them the ability to sell users tickets without redirecting them to secondary vendors like Ticketmaster.

Through Spotify Tickets, anyone with a Spotify account can input their card information and buy tickets directly from Spotify's website. While the company hasn't formally announced the move, users started noticing the site was live earlier today (August 11).

"At Spotify, we routinely test new products and ideas to improve our user experience. Some of those end up paving the path for our broader user experience and others serve only as important learnings. Tickets.spotify.com is our latest test. We have no further news to share on future plans at this time," the company said in a statement [via TechCrunch].

"Your destination for live events by creators you love, ticketed by Spotify," reads the website. So far, only seven artists are featured on Spotify Tickets — including Osees, Dirty Honey, Crows, TOKiMONSTA, Four Year Strong, Limbeck and Annie DiRusso.

The music service first announced its pivot to tickets in a blog post in June. While the post mentions sourcing tickets from Spotify's ticketing partners — such as Ticketmaster and Eventbrite — it does not mention being able to buy tickets directly from Spotify.

So far, there is no information as to how artists can sell entry to their shows on Spotify Tickets.
