Just a few days ago, Squid announced their sophomore album O Monolith with lead single "Swing (In a Dream)." Now, the UK post-punks are debuting more of the record's tracks live, giving us a taste of their post-rock leanings to come.

While the band have been workshopping their new songs live — much like their contemporaries black midi — for some time, they birthed upcoming O Monolith track "If You Had Seen the Bull's Swimming Attempts You Would Have Stayed Away" in London last night (February 9).

Lengthy both in title and in runtime, the new song shows Squid going down a more experimental route. The winding track clocks in at seven-and-a-half minutes, ranging from quiet ambient parts to jammy arrangements with cowbell-led percussion.
