During her musical residency on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert last week, St. Vincent snuck in a cover of Fleetwood Mac's "Dreams" — recruiting some help from Colbert's house band, Stay Human.
Dropping the verses in lieu of funky, jazz-influenced jamming, St. Vincent's cover of the 1977 Rumours track is rounded out by a trio of solos from saxophonist Louis Fouché, guitarist Louis Cato and trumpeter Jon Lampley.
Annie Clark's late-night residency follows her similarly disco-ready cover of "Funky Town" by Lipps Inc. for Minions: The Rise of Gru. Hopefully, it's only a matter of time until people start showing up to her shows in formal wear.
