BY Alex HudsonPublished Jan 7, 2011

Halifax's the Stanfields recently dropped their debut album, Vanguard of the Young & Reckless, and the group are now getting set to take their Celtic-infused rock out on the road.

All eight of the shows on the band's upcoming tour will take place in Ontario and Quebec. The outing will begin next week (January 13) with a show in St. Catharines, ON. From there, they will play six more Ontario gigs before wrapping up in Quebec City on January 21.

After the tour is done, the Stanfields will announce a performance in Halifax's Celebration Square as part of the 2011 Canada Games. The exact date hasn't yet been revealed, but the Games will take place from February 11 to 27. Other performers at the Canada Games include City and Colour, as well as Great Big Sea.
