Stars have been mighty busy promoting their latest album, The North. They recently wrapped up a high-profile run of shows with Metric, and next year they will be striking out on their own with even more North American gigs.
First, they will wrap up 2012 with some European dates before heading to Australia and Asia in early 2013. They will be back in North America by March, where they will play a number of U.S. shows, in addition to a generous selection of Canadian dates. These will be in Ontario, Quebec, British Columbia and across the Prairies.
Among all the Canuck dates, the schedule includes two shows apiece in Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver, and the band reportedly have something special planned for these cities.
A press release explains, "The double-play shows, dubbed the 'Evenings of Sex & Death,' speak to the recurring and ever-present themes of sex and death that span the albums of the group's storied career. Each evening will be built with a special set list in mind."
While the band tour Asia in February, fans anywhere in the world can get in on the fun by ordering special items from Stars' PledgeMusic campaign.
