Stephanie Earp

Stephanie Earp is a young singer/songwriter who has recently returned to her native Toronto after spending time in Boston, at the Berklee College of Music. Hey! Action is a six song EP worth checking out if you’re looking for some folkie yet fun tunes. One thing about Stephanie — she can really sustain a high note, as evident on “One Sided,” and “Life Sized,” which are both almost entirely sung in the upper register. The two highlights are “Tightrope,” which is as funky as you can get in this genre and “Girlfriend,” an interesting take on the cohabitation of straight and gay roommates that performs the rare trick of making you think and tap your feet at the same time.
