Second volumes of greatest hits packages are always a little suspect. After all, if the song is so great, why did it not make the cut the first time around? That said, this 16-song effort from the late, great Stevie Ray Vaughn is pretty solid. Collecting some of his better songs (“Love Struck Baby,” “Lenny”) and a few really good live versions/covers (“Superstition,” “Voodoo Chile,” “Willie The Wimp,” “Pipeline”), The Real Deal lives pretty true to the title it was given. True fans beware, though — there are no previously unreleased gems.
