Stones Throw and J Dilla's Estate Release Deluxe Serato Set

Unlike Michael Jackson's money-grubbing estate, those looking after the late J Dilla's affairs are actually doing something more than just cashing in on the beat-maker's beloved career, releasing quality products that he actually would have approved of. The latest venture they've undertaken is a unique record designed to work with the Serato Scratch Live DJ software.

Released in conjunction with Stones Throw, the Donut Shop box will come with two donut slip mats and six unreleased Dilla tracks pressed on two records. The B-sides of those records will have Serato Control Tone, which means they'll work as standard Serato records. The unreleased Dilla tracks included are "Sycamore," "Bars & Twists" and "Safety Dance," which you can download here, and three instrumentals from production work for Mos Def, Q-Tip and Busta Rhymes.

J Dilla's Donut Shop will be available on May 10 via Stones Throw. More information is available here.
