Sumac Take 'What One Becomes' Out East on North American Tour

BY Calum SlingerlandPublished Jun 14, 2016

Sumac unleashed their sophomore LP What One Becomes earlier this month, and as one could expect, the group have now announced a tour in support of their new effort.

Starting on August 5, the band will be on the road through Canada and the United States for the majority of the month, playing 13 dates with support coming from Jon Mueller, Jaye Jayele and nordra for various shows.

Two dates in Canada pop up early on in the trek, with the band performing in Montreal at Bar Le Ritz on August 6 and the Garrison in Toronto on August 7. For Canadian listeners looking to take in the band's dense riffing out west, they'll be playing the opening day of Levitation Vancouver this week on Thursday (June 16).

What One Becomes is out now through Thrill Jockey. Take a look at the band's complete tour itinerary and a newly shared live video of "Clutch of Oblivion" below.
