This is one fine slab of melodic prog/power metal which incorporates a liberal amount of thrashiness into the guitar playing. In fact, it would be easy to compare them to Nevermore in style. The use of seven-string guitar makes the sound crunchy and thick as hell. Andy Franck of Brainstorm and Ivanhoe fame has a ballsy voice that is perfectly suited for this style of metal. A lot of attention has been paid to the details in the songwriting, most tracks include great build-ups in the verses that meld headstrong into some very well crafted choruses. This release is full of power and melody with maybe just a little hint of cheese.
