Tarentel

The Order of Things

BY Roman SokalPublished Apr 1, 2002

Tarentel takes the listener on a voyage into pure foreign darkness, mixing evil with light - a musical Tai Chi, if you will. Somewhat traditional classical musical measures are taken as a foundation, but quickly things devolve into weeping, droning, reflective ambience that reflects any sorrows and bliss that your brain is capable of producing. Hence this disc acts as a mood generator, a textbook to the human mind sporting the ability to evoke any feeling one wishes to purge or dwell upon. By the end, simplicity is reached, but it is a simplicity that has accumulated so much experience and logic that it actually is some of the most complex music ever made.
