"Stop marding," whatever that means

Matty Healy has some choice words for the Gallagher brothers: "Grow up, headline Glastonbury."

Speaking with CBC's Q with Tom Power, the 1975 bandleader said he thinks Oasis are throwing away still being "the coolest band in the world" due to their familial feud.

"What are Oasis doing?" he said. "Can you imagine being in potentially, right now, still the coolest band in the world and not doing it because you're in a mard with your brother?" For those of you wondering at home, the definition of "mard" on Urban Dictionary is "having a tantrum" or "being difficult," which seems pretty apt.

He continued: "I can deal with them dressing like they're in their 20s and being in their 50s, but acting like they're in their 20s, they need to grow up. They're sat around in Little Venice and Little Highgate, crying because they're in an argument with their brother. Grow up, headline Glastonbury."

Healy's truths eventually got even harsher: "There is not one person going to a High Flying Birds gig, or a Liam Gallagher gig, that wouldn't rather be at an Oasis gig. Do me a favour: get back together. Stop messing around. That's my public service announcement for today."

While Noel Gallagher has said an Oasis reunion would be like going on holiday with your ex-missus, Liam Gallagher is telling a different story — saying Noel has been calling him "begging for forgiveness." Meanwhile, Healy should watch what he says about the Gallaghers not dressing for their age, since Yungblood already considers the 1975 too old to be relatable.
