While the Besnard Lakes announced a new mini-release called The Besnard Lakes Are the Divine Wind late last year, the Montreal collective have now finally delivered it. The two-track record arrived digitally today (February 9), and you can experience its B-side via some new visuals.
Down below, you can watch a tripped-out clip for "The Divine Wind." In a statement, Besnard Lakes frontman Jace Lasek had this to say about the video:
Oggy and I have wanted to make a video for a long time. We've been shooting and collecting short moving images for quite some time now and this video is kind of the result of that collection. A lot of this imagery was shot up at Besnard Lake (although with the treatment you'd never know it). Originally we wanted to make a video that was a cross between Spiritualized's "Shine a Light" and Richard Ashcroft's "Bittersweet Symphony." We quickly realized this was impossible so we made this one instead. You gotta start somewhere.
While The Besnard Lakes Are the Divine Wind is now out digitally, the 12-inch vinyl version doesn't arrive until March 3.
