The Black Dahlia Murder were set to cross the border into Canada next week as a support act on Max and Igor Cavalera's "Return to Roots" tour. Now the metal outfit have dropped off the dates due to medical issues.
In a post to Facebook this afternoon, the Black Dahlia Murder detailed that cancellations were made "due to a dire need for emergency surgery." The band's post did not reveal who exactly is in need of the operation.
"There's simply nothing that can be done to heal in time for the shows," they wrote. "Thank you for respecting our privacy on the matter. Our deepest apologies to the fans who were eager to see us and to the Cavalera Brothers, Allegaeon, and ONI who will be without our services next week."
The band will not be a part of tour dates in Ottawa, Toronto and Montreal from October 10 to 12. Read their full statement below.
