The Burning Hell

"The Road" (video)

Witty songsmiths the Burning Hell showed off their literary love on their latest LP Public Library earlier this year, and now the group are getting set to embark on a summer tour later this week. Before they take off, though, Exclaim! has got your exclusive first look at the band's brand new video for "The Road."

The song tells a true story, taking inspiration from real-life tour tribulations that the Burning Hell encountered in Europe last year when their tour van broke down five times in the span of a month.

"The song tells the story of Stevie, the Yorkshire mechanic who saved our tour last year by lending us a Fiat Panda to drive to Scotland when our van died on the highway in England," they explain. "Stevie and his wife Sarah also drove the three hours north with us in their own van with all of our guitars and gear. Once the show was over they turned around and drove back south and had fixed our van by the morning!"

Thanks to the helpful hand of Stevie and Sarah, the group made it through the tour and even returned for some more dates in 2016. The clip was filmed during this year's jaunt and edited in the back of the band's new van, which, "thankfully, didn't break down once."
