Micky Dolenz and Michael Nesmith of the Monkees have announced plans to hit the road for a short run of North American tour dates. What's more, the pair have also announced coinciding plans to release the band's first-ever live album.
Titled The Mike & Micky Show Live, the album will draw from live performances recorded earlier this year. It's set to arrive on April 3.
Meanwhile, the tour — dubbed "An Evening with the Monkees" — goes live on April 3 as well, beginning that night in Vancouver for the one and only Canadian stop on the run. The band will go on to perform in 14 cities across North America, with the tour concluding in Nashville on April 26.
Dolenz and Nesmith are the final two surviving members of the Monkees. Singer/bassist Peter Tork died earlier this year and frontman Davy Jones passed away back in 2012.
The Monkees' latest recording was 2016's Good Times!, which featured the late Peter Tork, as well as contemporary artists like Rivers Cuomo, Ben Gibbard and Noel Gallagher.
Tickets for the tour go on sale this Friday (November 15). Each ticket comes with either a digital or CD copy of the 24-track new record.
