The Psychedelic Furs have released "Evergreen," a new stand-alone single that comes on the heels of last year's Made of Rain, the British post-punks' first full-length since 1991's World Outside.
The band hasn't shared any information on the new single, but it's an expectedly lush and gothic brooder, with frontman Richard Butler putting on a ghostly, Bowie-esque croon. The big, swirling chorus goes: "I was dirt/ and I'll be dirt again/ I believe." Judging by the sound and artwork, it could easily be a leftover goodie from the Made of Rain sessions.
The single comes ahead of the band's upcoming and long-delayed US tour.
