Wall of Eyes — the second album from the Smile — is set to arrive January 26. Until then, the band is tiding us over with the very Radiohead single "Friend of a Friend."
Unlike the title track, which sounds like the younger sibling of "House of Cards," "Friend of a Friend" has an Amnesiac-like quality to it, oscillating between straightforward piano and lush orchestral interludes. Listen to it below.
The music video for the track was directed by filmmaker Paul Thomas Anderson, and will be premiered with Wall of Eyes at some one-off cinema events between January 18 and 25. Don't get your hopes up about Canadian dates — we'll just have to wait until the video appears online.
