The Trews have just shared a new single, "Peace Jam," via Cadence Music Group ahead of embarking on a 15-date summer tour.
"The anthemic track is about coming together in the hard times, singing through the uncertainty and not giving into despair," bandleader Colin MacDonald said in a press release. "It's about a band trying to make the world a better place in its own little way, even when things feel hopeless."
He added, "For us music has always been the antidote for chaos and uncertainty. The title comes from a gig we used to play in Niagara Falls back in the old days, at a wine bar called after hours that our good friend Nathan called 'peace jam.'"
The track was produced by Mark Howard (Bob Dylan, U2, Tragically Hip, Neil Young) and the band's guitarist John-Angus MacDonald.
The band have also mapped out a Canadian summer tour kicking off today (June 16) with a sold-out show in Niagara on the Lake. Check out the full schedule below. Tickets for the tour can be found at the Trews' website.
Trews' most recent album remains 2021's Wanderer.
