The War on Drugs have announced a new studio album. I Don't Live Here Anymore will be out on October 29 through Atlantic Records, with the band then supporting the record through a 2022 world tour.

An announcement on the band's website explains that the group started recording demos in Upstate New York in early 2018. This led to more than a dozen subsequent sessions, including stops at Electric Lady in New York and Sound City in Los Angeles. The resulting album was co-produced by band leader Adam Granduciel and engineer Shawn Everett.

Some of the songs were recorded with a slightly more live-off-the-floor approach than usual, as the band's entire live ensemble convened to record album opener "Living Proof" — a track you can hear now below via a newly shared video.

All told, the album contains 10 tracks that reportedly explore "resilience in the face of despair."

I Don't Live Here Anymore's tracklist is below and the album cover is above.

In addition to the album announcement, the War on Drugs have also plotted a 2022 world tour. The North American stretch will include a pair of Toronto dates in February. You can see the full schedule below.

UPDATE (1/10, 9:45 a.m. ET): Adam Granduciel announced via the band's website that the Toronto dates have been cancelled due to Ontario's recent closure of all concerts.
