With a new album reportedly finished, the Weeknd has now turned to teasing a potential team-up with recently reunited EDM supergroup Swedish House Mafia.

Today, both the Canadian star born Abel Tesfaye and the trio of Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso have tagged one another in similar social posts that feature a snippet of new music.

As heard below, an airy synth melody gives way to the Weeknd singing the lyrics "like a moth to a flame," before the words "to be continued" appear onscreen.

Towards the end of August, Tesfaye confirmed that the follow-up to 2020's After Hours would be complete come the end of the month, telling The Hollywood Reporter, "we're just kind of figuring out when to put it out."

Before sharing that news, he dropped off new single "Take My Breath," and brought 2011's Thursday to streaming services.

Swedish House Mafia made their reunion official in July, delivering single "It Gets Better" ahead of debut album Paradise Again arriving later this year through Republic Records.

While we await further details on this collaboration, find out what Weeknd track landed among the 27 Best Songs About Toronto.
