The Weeknd. We haven't heard that name in ages; at least not since The Idol wrapped its messy-as-hell shortened run. And you know what else's run is being shortened? The phase in the artist's career where he guests on other people's songs.

UPDATE (08/31, 12:32 p.m.): Although the man himself has yet to confirm it, Diddy took it upon himself to make it official and announce that the Weeknd's "last collab" will be on his new record, The Love Album: Off the Grid, due September 15.

Amid his European tour, the Weeknd has been performing a new song entitled "Another One of Me" — which is apparently a collaboration, and coming out soon. Today, the singer-songwriter posted a video clip of his Wednesday (August 9) performance of the forthcoming track at Warsaw's PGE Narodowy.

"This is gonna be the last feature I ever do, ever, in my career," the musician born Abel Tesfaye told the crowd in the footage. In his tweet, he clarified that he's willing to make an exception if Daft Punk ever get back together. (Fingers crossed technology suddenly becomes way less of a dystopian hellscape!)

The Weeknd and Daft Punk's Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo were both recently featured guests on Travis Scott's UTOPIA. Tesfaye has yet to reveal who the lead artist on "Another One of Me" is, but if setlist.fm updaters are to be believed, it might be a Diddy ditty.

Check out fan footage of the Weeknd performing the new track at his concert in Prague below.

Aside from all that The Idol stuff, Tesfaye's most recent album remains last year's Dawn FM, which he confirmed as part of a trilogy (presumably with 2020's After Hours).
