The xx have been relatively silent for the last few years — there were reports back in 2020 that all three members were working on solo albums, and Romy Madley Croft dropped the one-off single "Lifetime" that same year — but it looks like the gang is getting back together.
The trio have announced a new monthly radio show on Apple Music 1 called Interludes Radio, which will feature "an eclectic mix of music, special messages from notable friends in music and culture, fan interactions, exclusive new music, and insights into the group's creative process."
Each episode of the show will be hosted by a different member of the group, and bassist and vocalist Oliver Sim will be kicking things off tomorrow (March 10) with a horror movie-themed episode.
Sim will be joined on tomorrow's inaugural episode by Florence Welch, Elton John, Sampha, John Glacier, Romy, Jamie xx, and director Yann Gonzalez, who'll be calling in to talk about their favourite horror movies. There'll also be musical selections from Thom Yorke, Perfume Genius, Yves Tumor, Hercules and Love Affair and more.
