If you enjoy the merger of tribal trance music and trippy club grooves, the Third Planet promises to take you to the next level. This quintet fuses inventive techno minimalism with traditional sounds from Algeria, India, Iraq and Italy to generate a fresh and compelling hybrid. The organic pulse of the Third Planet's music depends upon the tablas of Rashmi V. Bhatt and Nazaar's saaz (a guitar-like instrument from Kurdistan). This combination gives the Third Planet a unique and haunting sound, making for an awesome summer party soundtrack, as the first six tracks flow together as a seamless whole. Sublime stuff.
