Thirty-Two Frames

There's a reason I hate debut EPs. Case in point is this debut release from Louisville's Thirty-Two Frames. With just six songs (not including the two hidden tracks), I found myself wanting so much more from this scrappy garage punk-inspired quartet who sounds like a cross between Leatherface and Pegboy, with healthy doses of Avail and Hot Water Music thrown in for good measure. None of which is surprising given the pedigree of this band (it features members of Elliott, the Enkindels and Empathy). It's fast, loud, furious and raw-hewn rock and roll the likes of which the world, and especially the music industry, could use right about now.
