Well it only took them five years, but Cincinnati's answer to Dinosaur Jr. has finally released their sophomore full-length disc. The ten-track Tired Anchor is a swirling blend of late ‘80s-tinged indie rock and ’90s-style shoegazer dirge with vocal harmonies that would make Weezer jealous. For a disc so heavy with themes of alienation and drifting emotions lost at sea, Tired Anchor is strangely uplifting.
