Thundercat Returns with "Bus in These Streets"

BY Calum SlingerlandPublished Aug 23, 2016

After venturing into The Beyond/Where the Giants Roam last year, bass wizard Thundercat has shared some new music in "Bus in These Streets."

A pleasant mix of bass and bells amidst some colourful key changes, the flighty tune takes issue with the technological world. "Thank god for technology, because where would we be if we couldn't tweet our thoughts?" he sings, before reassuring us that "it's okay to disconnect sometimes."

According to a press release, "Bus in These Streets" is "a comedic ode to our dependence on technology," and it features Louis Cole (keyboards, drums, programming) and Steve Ellison (a.k.a. Flying Lotus).

Up above, you can see its ridiculous tech-centric artwork, assembled by Bootymath. Take a listen to "Bus in These Streets" in the player below.

The new song comes as Thundercat prepares to play a series of dates. You can see them all below.
