Thunderheist Call It Quits for Good?

BY Josiah HughesPublished Mar 1, 2010

Back in October, we reported that Toronto, ON-based electro duo Thunderheist would be hanging up their party hats in 2010 to spend the year focusing on solo projects. Now, it appears that they may be ending the project for good.

In a post on their Facebook page, the band announced that their upcoming shows in Las Vegas, Vancouver, Victoria and Seattle will be their last ever.

The statement reads:

we will be playing our LAST EVER shows soon. And this time Its REALLY OVER - so get your tickets while they are hot!! It's been a great run. But it's time to say goodbye. Looking forward to an awesome 2010 for both of our solo endeavours.

The statement is a little confusing, considering the band's recent sentiments elsewhere. In January, they posted a MySpace blog to reveal some new solo material from front-woman Isis. In that post, they said, "so most of you have heard we are working on other projects all while still juggling the thunderheist party."

Similarly, a post on the band's official website on February 10 said that they have "put Thunderheist on ice for the time being."

Before anyone starts shedding unnecessary tears, Exclaim! has contacted Thunderheist and is currently waiting on an official statement. In the meantime, the possibly last Thunderheist shows are below.

 Tour dates:

3/31 Las Vegas, NV - Pure Nightclub at Caesar's Palace

6/10 Vancouver, BC - The Venue

6/11 Victoria, BC - Sugar Nightclub
