Not half a year after finally being released from prison for weapons-related charges, Atlanta, GA rapper T.I. was back in the slammer, this time with his wife, for alleged drug possession.
As Associated Press reports, the MC and his wife (Tameka Cottle) were arrested last night (September 1) after police smelled marijuana wafting from their car at a traffic stop.
Los Angeles Sheriff's Department said that "deputies smelled a strong odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle," and that "a narcotics investigation ensued," resulting in the two arrests.
Bail for the pair was set at $10,000 and they were released from jail early this morning. T.I.'s next court appearance is set for Friday (September 3).
T.I. has been a busy boy since he was last released from prison in late March: his new album. King Uncaged, which he worked on from a halfway house during his year-long sentence, is tentatively due for release September 28, and he's currently working on his own cartoon series.
