Earlier this month we learned that T.I. was working with fellow Top 40 rapper B.o.B on a collaborative effort called The Man and the Martian set for release sometime in 2012, but it looks as if Tip will hit us up with some solo material at the stroke of midnight on New Year's.
The rapper took to his Twitter to drop the details on his upcoming mixtape, #FuckdaCityup, which he's hoping is the first thing people hear in 2012.
"Breaking News! Its official... I'm puttin out a mixtape midnight Jan.1 2012 called #Fuckdacityup," T.I. posted. "Wanna be the 1st thing yall hear nxt year. When da ball drop... We drop!!!! Out wit da old,in wit da TRUE!!!! Atown.... Weeee Baaaaaack!!!!!"
Not much else has been unveiled about the mixtape, but subsequent tweets revealed T.I. was working in a "packed studio," with guests including Young Jeezy, DJ Toomp, Big Kuntry King and more. Unless a tracklisting pops up shortly, we'll have to wait for New Year's for the deets.
