Vancouver record monger Tim Clapp has had a busy year doling out 7-inches from local and not-so-local bands with his Kingfisher Bluez imprint. Now, he's giving himself the spotlight with a new 7-inch from his Tim the Mute project.
The three-song release offers up scrappy, stripped-down lo-fi pop with earnest vocals and self-referential lyrics that would have fit in almost any era of the DIY underground pop scene. All three tracks were recorded on his phone while he was working at a record store.
Check out all three songs from the release below. The 7-inch will be available on June 28.
Tim the Mute will also perform at Vancouver's Music Waste alongside Capitol 6, Love Cuts and Shearing Pinx at Asterino's on June 8. The show is open to all ages.
