T.I.'s No Mercy Gets Release Date, Cover Art

Earlier this week, T.I. said goodbye to his sweet, sweet freedom once again, returning to the slammer for an 11-month stint after his drug-related arrest in September. Despite his incarceration, the Atlanta, GA-based rapper has revealed the release date for his anticipated new album, No Mercy (previously known as King Uncaged).

The record is set to drop on December 7 via Atlantic Records and will feature guest spots from Kanye West, Eminem, Chris Brown, the-Dream and Christina Aguilera, alongside production from Danja, Jim Jonsin and shit-hot hit-maker Dr. Luke. The long-rumoured Lady Gaga appearance has been shelved for now.

In an effort to possibly drum up sympathy for his prison sentence, T.I. has selected an image of himself wiping a tear from his eye as the cover art (see above). Poor guy, no one understands him -- all he was doing was driving under the influence of a plethora of illegal narcotics.

Releasing an album while incarcerated might not be as hard as it sounds, however. Take a look at Lil Wayne, whose I Am Not a Human Being sold favourably while he kicked back in his Rikers Island jail cell. If T.I.'s album finds similar commercial success, he will have some decent royalties when he gets out of the clink in 2011.
