TNGHT seemed to be just getting started, with the duo of Hudson Mohawke and Lunice having released a wildly praised self-titled EP in 2012 and their "Acrylics" single in 2013. Now, however, the beat-making pair have announced that they are putting the collaborative electronic project to rest — at least for the time being.
On Friday (December 27), LuckyMe Records shared a video calling "Waning Moon," which ended with a clip of the band thanking the crowd at the end of show (watch below). The video is captioned "Until We Meet Next Time," while the band's moon logo on Facebook has been replaced with an image of a cloudy nighttime sky (see above).
LuckyMe, meanwhile, tweeted Optimus Prime's death scene from 1986's The Transformers: The Movie with the words "Do Not Grieve..."
Just in case all of that is too cryptic, LuckyMe confirmed to FACT that the Scottish-Canadian duo are "wrapped up for the time being so that both members can focus on their solo albums."
It's unclear when (or if) TNGHT will return.
