The official word has now come down from the man himself - Tom Waits will be releasing a live album on November 24 from his "Glitter and Doom" tour.

The album will be called, conveniently enough, Glitter and Doom Live, according to an interview with Waits on CBC Radio, and already the record is up for pre-order over at Amazon.

"Okay, Glitter and Doom, that's the title," Waits told the CBC's Jian Ghomeshi in a recent interview. "Now, I really feel like a huckster. Yeah, it's coming out at Thanksgiving... A lot of applause, followed by a song, and after the song there's more applause, and then there's a song. And it goes like that all the way through." Ah, Tom, you old huckster, you.

As we previously told you, a photographer working on the project leaked word of the release late last month. But until now there had been no official confirmation that a live release from the successful European and short Midwestern U.S. tour was on the way, though Anti- confirmed to Exclaim! that the album was forthcoming.

A tracklisting for Glitter and Doom Live has yet to be released.

For the time being, Waits's website is streaming a live set from Atlanta's Fox Theatre via NPR here.

A big thanks to TwentyFourBit for the heads-up.
