Tomahawk

"Stone Letter" (video)

As previously reported, Tomahawk are just about ready to release Oddfellows, their first album in over five years, and are promoting the set a little early with a live footage-assisted clip for previously premiered album track "Stone Letter."

Considering the path the band have taken, from sinister songsmiths to spiritual hard rock shamans, the super straight-forward radio rocker is perhaps the oddest number the group have released thus far, with crunchy guitar hooks blasting behind Mike Patton's cries of "you don't know me anymore."

The video is likewise super simple and has the band carving out the cut onstage for adoring audiences. No matter whether it's a standard fist-pumper or some sort of stone-faced, subversive songplay, it's a game changer for the boys of Tomahawk.

"Stone Letter" hits iTunes December 4, while Patton's Ipecac Recordings lets loose the full LP January 29.
