Torngat

By Sunday afternoon of such a dense festival, one can only take so many guitars and traditional song formats. Torngat weren’t interested in direct routes or easy answers, bringing a bit of the avant-garde Guelph Jazz Festival to Hillside, their alternately beautiful and dissonant compositions wrought with effected French horn, modal keyboards and a trumpet-playing drummer.
