The Bentway has announced the upcoming slate of Roller Skate Parties set to turn up Toronto's Gardiner Expressway underpass this summer.
Events will take place on one Friday of the month from June to September at the public figure-eight roller skating trail located at 250 Fort York Boulevard.
Led by the Bentway team, programming at all parties will be assisted by GTA-based roller rink pop-up SUSO Skate Co. and include DJ sets, food trucks, and vendors by the Hippie Market. On June 14 and July 12, local roller skating, music and street art collective Beats + Skates will host the festivities. Melanin Skate Crew — a community-based group aiming to support physical and mental health through roller skating — will host the parties on August 16 and September 27.
Meanwhile, local DJs performing at the parties will feature Sakiko Nagai, Introspkt, Doomgurl, Tdesu, DJ Lighter and DJ Kidd Sikk.
The parties will be free to attend, but hourly skate rentals come at a cost. Find rental details and further Roller Skate Party programming information at the Bentway's official website.
